The plaques on the benches read:
"Presented by the students of Washington College / to commemorate Chestertown's 300th anniversary / a project of the Class of 2008."

Although not a senior class gift, the Class of 2008 worked together to help beautify Chestertown.

Class of 2007 — Historical Documents

Historical Documents, Class of 2007 Gift
The 1785 John Scott Diploma (the first diploma at Washington College), the John Scott Sr. (father of Edward and John) Custom House Commission signed by President George Washington, and the 1788 Edward Scott Diploma.

The Class of 2005 supplied the Miller Library with a subscription to "The New York Times Since 1851," an online archive.

The bust has become a landmark on campus with many students and visitors posing for photos with George.

For their senior gift the class created a picnic area between Minta Martin and Reid Hall consisting of a picnic table and two grills.

In the late '90s the table was stolen and subsequently the grills were removed. The good news: the picnic area has been included in the new landscaping plan.

Class of 1983 — Weathervane

The Class of 1983 refurbished the weathervane atop the William Smith Hall cupola, preserving the classic icon of Washington College.

Class of 1959 — Restoration, Norman James Theatre

On the occasion of their 40th reunion, the Class of 1959 contributed to the Norman James Theatre restoration in William Smith Hall.

Featuring plays and movies, the theatre is enjoyed by all members of the WC community.

Class of 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932 — Gate

Gate, Class of 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932 Gift
In a collaboration between four classes, a gated entranceway was built on the walkway leading to William Smith Hall. While part of the walkway has been removed, the strategic plan has proposed restoring the path and opening the gate once more.

Each pillar is inscribed with the classes responsible for the gate. The other pillar reads: "1931 Classes 1932."
