Then and Now

The "Then" photos are from postcards from around 1935 that were donated by Barbara S. DeRose P'07. We were curious how the campus had changed. The "Now" photos were taken in May 2007.

These changes have been made possible through various creative ways of giving by alumni, parents, and friends of the College.

Then the Library
Bunting Hall used to be the library.
Now Bunting Hall
Now it is the home of the President's Office and other administration.

Science Hall
Dunning Hall has always housed the sciences, but it used to be a single building with a fountain in front.
Dunning Decker
Now with the addition of Decker to the right in 1988 and the Toll Science building behind in 2006, Dunning has taken on new life.

Hodson Hall
Hodson Hall has always been the College's dining hall.
Hodson Hall
In 1963 the building received an addition to the right and is undergoing renovations in 2008.

William Smith Hall and Gymnasium
Smith Hall and the Gymnasium in the 30s.
William Smith Hall and the Library
It's hard to see Smith Hall through the trees along the walkway. The Gymnasium was torn down and relocated to make room for the Miller Library, which was constructed in 1970.

Boys' Dormitory
The Boys' Dormitories on the hill.
Hill Dorms
Referred to as the Hill Dorms (East, Middle, and West), the residence halls are now special interest housing on campus.
